D’AMICO LAUNCHES THE FIRST EDITION OF THE CONTEST "SANDWICH VEGGIE STYLE - THE OTHER FACE OF THE SANDWICH " IN COLLABORATION WITH 50 TOP ITALY

Milan, april 2021D'Amico, along with Robo, the Group brand specialized in products for the "out of home", this year renewed its participation to 50 Top Italy and 50 Top Pizza. In addition, D’Amico together with 50 Top Italy will reward the young catering talents with a special contest dedicated to them: " Veggie Style Sandwich - The Other Face Of The Sandwich”.

Once again with 50 Top Italy, the guide rewarding the Best Italian Restaurants in Italy and in the World, D’Amico will enhance the Made in Italy food giving 2 special awards in four categories: "Restaurants over € 120", "Restaurants up to € 120", "Trattorias / Inns" and "Low Cost". For this edition, D'Amico will also be involved in the guide of the 50 Top Italy Luxury, a special section of 50 Top Italy, dedicated to exclusive hotel facilities in Italy such as Hotels, Relais, and Charming Residences, which have a restaurant and a high level food & beverage service. For the occasion, D'Amico will provide a special award to the winner. Finally, also for the ranking "Best Italian restaurants out of Italy" D'Amico will offer two special awards. D'Amico, along with the Robo brand, will also be the main partner of 50 Top Pizza, the guide rewarding the best pizzerias in Italy and all over the world by considering different facts, such as: pizza, service, environment, waiting, wine, beer, beverage.

There will be about 500 Italian pizzerias in the guide and the first 100 of these will be in the form of a ranking. The Italian section will be backed up by the European ranking, the United States one and the international awards (Neapolitan pizza in the world, best pizzeria in Africa, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Asia, Oceania, South America, Brazil). Robo will give two special awards signed by the Company for both 50 Top Pizza Italia and 50 Top Pizza Europa.

Contest “Veggie Style Sandwich - The Other Face Of The Sandwich” signed by D’Amico

For the purpose of 50 Top Italy, D'Amico launches the first edition of the contest "Veggie Style Sandwich - the other side of the sandwich" dedicated to vegetarian sandwiches, one of the most popular trends in the last period.

The sandwich represents a real revolution in the food system, which shows a change in the culinary world. While it was originally considered a fast and easy meal that fulfills the practical aspect rather than the quality, in the recent years we have seen an evolution, both in quality and taste. The delicious recipes have also become healthy and light and vegetarian options are becoming more and more frequent over time.

The contest is aimed at young catering professionals under 35 who will have to create, with creativity and respect for raw materials, a meatless sandwich and the main protagonist will be the Sun Dried Tomatos D’Amico that will be sent by the company. The initiative is aimed at enhancing creative talents, through a conscious and sustainable vision of nutrition, and the ingredient in all its creative and taste possibilities.

The winner will receive various awards and will join the company team becoming a D’Amico brand ambassador for a year, with continuous visibility through activities in synergy with the brand.
